IMPORTANT: It is advisable to use an RCD safety adaptor when clipping. Click here to the accessories page, where you will find the RCD plugs.
Because we specialise in clippers, Masterclip are able to offer exceptional sheep clippers at very low prices. FREE Delivery (UK Mainland only) and VAT are included in our prices.
Masterclip also specialise in dog clippers, horse clippers, cattle clippers, alpaca clippers and we also stock a full range of clipping blades to fit our range of animal clippers.
It is well worth looking after your sheep clippers, because if maintained correctly, they will last you for many years. Firstly make sure that you store them in a safe and dry place, as any damp may affect the performance of the clipper.
Keep your clippers well oiled before, during and after use. If you do not keep them oiled, the motor will struggle and get hot, which could cause your animal some discomfort and the clippers would probably stop working.
Before you clip, run a line of oil along the edge of the blades and also into the holes on the clipper head, wiping off any excess. This only applies if using a heavy duty clipper. If however, you are using a clipper from our light or medium duty range, you will only need to oil the blades.
Always ensure that the clipper blades are kept clean and only ever oil them when they are clean and free from any dirt or grease. Never wash your blades in water, as this may cause them to rust.
Listen to your clippers, if the noise levels change, then there is a problem. If you are using a heavy duty clipper that has recently been oiled, it may be the tension that is incorrect. This can be annoying, but it is easily rectified by either referring to the manufacturer’s instruction booklet or calling us at Masterclip for further advice.
When you have finished with the clippers, brush off any wool and dirt and if your clipper has an air filter, remove it and clean out any trapped hair. This should be done regularly as any build up of dirt and grease can cause the motor to overheat and eventually damage the clipper. Remove the clipping blades and brush off any muck from inside the clipper and oil everything before putting away.
In the unlikely event that you should have any problems with your sheep clippers, we can often sort the problem out over the phone. If there is a fault with your sheep clippers during the warranty period, all you need to do is return them to us with your full details and date of purchase and we will either repair or replace the clippers.
