Clipping Your Horse
What clipper should you use?
A good set of heavy duty horse clippers are recommended for all over body clipping your horse. The most important consideration which must be given, is to the motor size of the clipper. We recommend that you clip your horse with a set of clippers ranged between 120W and 200W. For areas such as the head, ears, whiskers and other sensitive areas, it is best to use a smaller clipper, as not to put your horse off being clipped. We recommend horse clippers ranged between 30w and 50w for the trimming. Any less than 30w is just not powerful enough. It is worth investing in both a light/medium duty and heavy duty horse clipper set, as each clipper has a specific job and you will find it quicker and easier to clip and your horse will thank you for it too. The smaller clipper is most versatile and can be used all year round, as it is ideal for pre show preparation, along with hogging or trimming of feathers.
