Masterclip also specialise in dog clippers, horse clippers, sheep clippers and alpaca clippers along with a variety of clipping blades to fit all of our clippers.
If you look after your cattle clippers, they will last for years. Make sure you have somewhere dry to store them, as any any damp may affect the clipper.

Before you start to clip, drop a line of oil along the edge of the blades and and also put some oil into the oil holes on the clipper head, wiping off any excess. This only applies if using a heavy duty clipper. If you are using a clipper from our light or medium duty range, you will only need to oil the blades.
Only ever oil your clippers when they are clean and free from dirt and grease. Do not wash your blades in water, as this may cause them to rust.
Listen to your clippers, if the noise levels change, then there is a problem that needs addressing. If you are using a heavy duty cattle clipper that has recently been oiled, it may be the tension that is incorrect. This can be frustrating, but it is easily rectified by either referring to the manufacturer’s instruction booklet or calling us at Masterclip for further advice.
When you have finished clipping, brush off any dirt on the machine and if your clipper has an air filter, remove it and clean out any trapped hair. This should be done regularly as the hair builds up quickly and it could cause the motor to overheat and eventually damage the clipper. Remove the clipping blades and brush off any dirt from inside the clipper. It is advisable to oil everything before putting away.
If you get any problems with your cattle clippers, we can often resolve them by just one phone call. In the unlikely event of there being a fault with your cattle clippers during the warranty period, all you need to do is return them to us and we will either repair or replace.
